Congratulations to Li Qian, Associate Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, and Associate Director of McAllister Heart institute, who will receive a 2019 Triangle Business Journal Health Care Heroes Awards as a Rising Star. Among the 23 2019 recipients of this Award from throughout a region with many thousands of health care professionals, Li is in the good company of Bill Roper, who will receive the 2019 Health Care Heroes Lifetime Achievement Award.
Li will receive this Award based on her impactful research on mechanisms of regeneration and repair of injured hearts, and will be honored at an event at the Umstead Hotel in Cary on March 14.
